Shantaveeriah's commitment to empowering individuals through beekeeping extended beyond typical training sessions. One of his most notable experiences took place at the District Agriculture Technology Cooperation (D.A.T.C.) in Haveri. On the request of a dedicated lady working at D.A.T.C., Shantaveeriah was invited to facilitate a special one-week beekeeping training program exclusively for women. This initiative was designed to promote women empowerment by providing them with valuable skills in beekeeping, an avenue for sustainable livelihood.

Recognizing the importance of this cause, Shantaveeriah wholeheartedly took on the responsibility. With his extensive knowledge and experience, he structured the training to be both informative and hands-on, ensuring that the women were equipped with the skills needed to manage bee colonies, extract honey, and understand the importance of bees in agriculture. The training was met with enthusiasm, and many participants felt empowered by the opportunity to learn a new craft that could benefit their families and communities.

Shantaveeriah’s dedication didn’t stop there. He went above and beyond by inviting the women to his place in Hiriyuru for an extended training session. Here, the women received additional practical experience, working directly with Shantaveeriah’s bees and gaining insights into advanced beekeeping techniques. His efforts in promoting women’s empowerment through this unique training session left a lasting impact on the participants and the community.
